Emergency

Emergency 911 calls are handled by the province-wide Sask911 service. When you call 911 you will be connected to a call centre where the nature of the emergency will be determined. The call will then be forwarded to the appropriate police, fire, or emergency dispatch centre. Be prepared to provide as much information as possible when you call 911.

Health Care

  • Hospital - provides in-patient, emergency      and outpatient/ambulatory care services to individuals and families. The hospital is fully staffed, including two family practitioners.​
  • Medical Clinic - There are two (2) medical clinics. Both are located on Grand Avenue one (1) block north of downtown.  
  • Care Home - There are two facilites. Hayes Haven & Golden Prairie Home. Both care facilities provide services from assisted living to full care.   
  • ​Home Care- The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) gives assistance with health care & domestic help, meals on wheels & other care services.  
  • Pharmacy - A fully staffed & serviced pharmacy is located in the downtown area. 
  • Dental Clinic - Dental services provided Monday to Thursday   
  • Eye Care Clinic- Provides eye care, exams, and eyeglass prescriptions on Thursdays only

Community & Recreation

PUBLIC LIBRARY - Borrow from the books on the shelves and the audio-book section ... or order online from the provincial library system. There is an outreach program for in-home seniors.

SOUTHEAST COMMUNITY COLLEGE - Academic development, post-secondary education, and skills training courses are offered.

GRAND THEATRE - This is Indian Head's local movie theatre and performing arts centre.​    

WALKING TRAIL -  The Sunbeam Creek Fitness Trail is ideal for walking, running, or cycling.

GOLF COURSE  - The town has a beautiful 9 - hole golf course and club house. 

 

The local spray park, skate park & pool located in Dixon Park (corner of Grand Avenue and Victoria Street) are the perfect places to beat the heat & burn off some energy. The newly built spray park has a number of different water features that can entertain children and adults of all ages. The local pool features a slide, a diving board, a basketball net and a number of pool toys for everyone to enjoy. The skate park is new as of 2018 & has lighting for those evening outings.
